She noted that, while spontaneity is essential, consistent writing habits create a conducive environment for creativity to flourish. She emphasized on the importance of setting aside dedicated time each day for writing. This in her view, helps build momentum and minimizes the impact of writer’s block.
Lastly, Cholakath encouraged writers to engage in free writing and brainstorming sessions. By allowing thoughts to flow without inhibition, she said, writers can uncover hidden gems and overcome the fear of the blank page. To quote her,
